* Whilst essential building works take place, the National Portrait Gallery will be closed to the public until Spring 2023. Director's Circle
The Director’s Circle enjoy several bespoke events each year, curated by the Director and guided by the strong relationships the Gallery continues to foster with practising artists and leading cultural figures.
Some of our recent events have included; an exclusive drinks reception with Malala Yousafzai and photographer Shirin Neshat, to unveil the portrait of Malala commissioned by the Gallery, a unique tour of the fashion highlights in our Collection with Dr Nicholas Cullinan in collaboration with the designer Erdem Moralioglu; and an invitation to enjoy a private screening of our recent film acquisition Fergus by TJ Wilcox, followed by an exclusive dinner with the artist and sitter.
